The only place to practice Kudo Daido Juku in Hertfordshire.

Kudo Daido Juku is a hybrid martial art comprising full contact punches, kicks, knees, elbows, clinch work, throws/takedowns and submission techniques on the ground.
Kudo has its origins in Kakuto Karate (Combat Karate), but It is not just a mixed fighting system. It is a life-long sport, system for youth education, method of self defence and health maintenance for adults. Along with these elements it stresses the "Reigi" or respect and etiquette of its tradition. In this sense it is a "Modern Budo" that has already spread in more then 60 countries around the world.

Our Philosophy

At the Hertfordshire Kudo Academy our aim is to bring high quality tuition of the unique style of Kudo Daido Juku to the Hertfordshire area. Kudo is a beautiful mix of full contact fighting and traditional Budo values.

Our club is open, friendly and proud to provide our services to Baldock, Letchworth and surrounding areas. Our classes are designed with everyone in mind and our ultimate goal is provide you with the training you desire; be that for competitive Kudo fighting, martial arts/personal development and/or self defence. While different skill levels will exist, our classes will be tailored to your fitness level and ability.

We believe that "There is no substitute for hard work and there is no shortcut to success". Our training is based upon the repetition of fundamental (Kihon) and advanced techniques and a mindset for constant learning and self development.
